Kids, let’s explore the variety of coins and paper bills that make up the world of money. We’ll have fun examining money, how to make change, and getting to know the basic math of money. Please bring a dollar bill and a jar of coins so we can discuss each item’s value.
Spending and shopping can be fun, but there are also other great things you can do with money. Learn why saving money is so important and how giving to charity can help both the charity and you, the giver.
Get to know how banks can help you manage spending, saving and borrowing money. Understand the differences between a credit card and debit card and learn the pros and cons of using apps to make payments.
So, you want to be a millionaire? Join us to find out what it takes. Through impactful examples, easy-to-understand visuals and helpful insights, you will learn how small investments made today can grow significantly over time. We’ll also cover tips on how to build long-term wealth and avoid financial mistakes that can set you back. This session aims to empower you with the knowledge and confidence you need to start your financial journey and build a secure future.
As you start to develop a credit history, let’s talk about how to build and maintain strong credit reports and scores. Your credit scores, which are based on information in your credit reports, affect your ability to get approved for a credit card, car loan or other loan; rent a place to live; buy or lease a car; or get hired for a job. We’ll also discuss dos and don'ts of using credit.
Once you've figured out how to pay for tuition and room and board, it’s time to plan for the day-to-day costs of college life. You’ll need to cover expenses like books, dining out off-campus, personal care items, clothing, entertainment, a cell phone and service, and more. Let’s explore ways to make your college days affordable.
